"The Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiting is the hardest part"
~Tom Petty~

O.k., so I got the coolio job offer, and they st6arted my background check....... and thus began the wait. See, they started the background check last week on Tuesday or Wednesday, and I was told up front that these things can take a week to ten days to complete, BUT.... it's killing me. I had to go in on Friday and quit the Payroll company. No need to give them two weeks notice, I'm still in training. I would have waited a few more days, when the background thing is done, but they had me schedueled to fly to Rochester last Sunday, so my hands were tied.

If all goes well with the background check I will start my home training this weekend. If all does NOT go well, and they find something that causes them to retract their offer, I'll kill myself. NO! I meeeeeeeean, uh, I'll be... uh, ... really disappointed. Yeah. That's it.

In all seriousness, I'd be royally screwed. The Payroll place is now a thing of the past, AND I told another Pharma Company (a really BIG Pharma Company) that I could not continue the interview process with them because I'd gotten this offer from Novartis.

Poop.

On a lighter note: Nnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! Tempest and Purge canNOT leave the Tri-state area!!! I'm sorry, I can only allow this to happen if you come here to LI, or MAYBE if you go to Texas. And even then you would thus be cementing my every vacation from here to doomsday.... Hmmmmm. That's not so bad, actually. O.k., how's this? You can go to Texas, but not to far from Disney, and OB2; you can go to Orlando, Anaheim, or Chicago. But THAT'S IT. O.k.?

Oh, and UIM. How about Rolling Blackout for a band name? Also, A Mind to Waste.

Whew. I'm spent. Where is everybody?

Juuuuuuuust sit right back and you'll hear a tale...

But first, let me just say this: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!! Pom-a-poo! HAhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!

Whew. That almost killed me.

O.k., I'm at the rents house, and my own private Idahell is nearly at an end. The last two weeks or so have been very eventful, but I'll try to fill you in as briefly as possible. (and if you believe THAT I've got some swamp land in New Jersey to sell you...)

1) I started at the Payroll company, and LOVED the people there.
2) Struggled with the dilemma of should I stay or should I go.
3) Went on a "ride along" with one of the Pharma reps and left with stars in my eyes. The Pharma job includes:
a) a 2002 Dodge Intrepid w/insurance paid for by the company
b) 8K more in salary
c) Med, Dental, Vision coverage
d) a phone line & fax line in my home paid for by the company
e) a Co. laptop
f) (is there no end???) a company Amex for gas, food, car needs, client gifts, etc.
g) $40 a month for my cell
h) (the coup de gracy) $100 a month to join a gym
4) this made my decision to leave the payroll company easy
5) Had a FANTASTIC time at Tony and Joan's wedding, despite Karaoke antics.
6) Fell into the deepest poverty depths yet
7) Was OFFERED THE PHARMA JOB!!!

WOO HOO!!! As of July 15th I am officially a drug dealer!! I'll have to spend three weeks away at training sometime this summer, and once that's finished I'll have a new car! Woo Hoo!! Happy dance...

Does anyone know anyone that want's to buy a 1991 Toyota Celica? Less than 100K miles? Slight crush on the drives door?

Anyone? Anyone??
